The Ancient Inbox Exhibit

This is the first public exhibition of authentic, ancient papyrus manuscripts in Winnipeg. It follows an international gathering of researchers brought to the university's Department of Classics this summer to transcribe the texts.

Private and public documents from Roman Egypt, including ancient letters, business and government records, petitions, tax receipts, contracts, a marriage agreement and a document recording the sale of an enslaved person.
