SUMMARY:Exploring the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections
DESCRIPTION:This session will provide an overview of what types of records 
 you can find at the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections. 
 We will discuss how to find\, view\, and use archival records as well as 
 explore rare books\, university records\, and private records that are open 
 virtually and in-person to researchers. We recommend completing the 
 Introduction to Archives workshop prior to taking this one.\n\n 
 \n\nLearning Objectives: In this workshop participants 
 will:\n\n\n	Recognize different ways values and ideologies are embedded in 
 information sources\n	Recognize the characteristics that give writers and 
 information authority\n	Evaluate a source of information to determine 
 whether it is valid and credible\n	Recognize how culture and ideology 
 affect the production of scholarship and privilege some voices over 
 others\n	Recognize how research\, writing\, and publishing practices have 
 the potential to enrich or limit information contained in a
