Research Data Management (RDM) practices are increasingly being mandated for researchers in Canada. This session will cover the “what” and why” of RDM, including underlying principles and current requirements from funders and publishers. No prior knowledge of RDM is required. Researchers at all levels are welcome to attend.

Learning Objectives: In this workshop participants will:

  • review basic RDM theories including the FAIR Guiding Principles
  • learn about current and forthcoming RDM requirements
  • reflect on how you practice research data management currently, and where you might consider incorporating new tools or procedures
