This is a great session for new faculty and instructors to confirm UM's copyright policies (including the updated UM Copyright Guidelines), and a good refresher for current faculty and instructors with information about additional services to help you with copyright management. The session will have a special focus on copyright friendly open resources using Creative Commons licenses and thinking about copyright when using images.

review UM copyright policies and revised UM Copyright Guidelines
learn about copyright law and common educational use exemptions
review copyright friendly resources (Creative Commons, Public Domain, etc.)
