Data management plans (or DMPs) document the intentions of a research team in regards to their data, answering questions like; where will your data be stored, who has access to it at various stages; and do you plan to share your data outside of a publication format? DMPs are increasingly encouraged or required as part of funding applications, including a growing number of Tri-Agency awards.
In this workshop participants will:
- Examine DMP Assistant including the new template available for pre-funding stage.
- Review common elements of a data management plan, and under which circumstances DMPs are required or useful.
- Explore some example DMPs from various disciplines.
