This session will provide an overview of what types of records you can find at the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections. We will discuss how to find, view, and use archival records as well as explore rare books, university records, and private records that are open virtually and in-person to researchers. We recommend completing the Introduction to Archives workshop prior to taking this one.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Explore what types of records are held at the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections.

  • Learn how to find, view, and use archival records at the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections.

  • Discuss archival terminology that can assist with future searching.
