In this session, participants will delve into the intricacies of two powerful databases—GeoRef and GreenFILE—designed to streamline your research in geosciences and environmental studies. Because both of these databases can be accessed through the EBSCOhost platform, many of the search functions look similar but there are also unique features of each that can be harnessed to find geological and environmental literature in expert ways.

In this session, participants will:

  • Explore two subject-specific databases: GeoRef (for geosciences) and GreenFILE (environmental sciences)
  • Navigate the features and search functionalities of the EBSCOhost platform
  • Discover advanced methods of using GeoRef and GreenFILE to find relevant literature
