U of M students in the health professions have access to a wide array of high-quality scholarly resources through the UM Libraries. However, when students graduate, much of that access is cut off, but using quality scholarly resources and engaging in evidence-based practice is critical in health care conducted beyond the University walls. This session for alumni and graduating students will show how to continue to find high quality scholarly information despite a lack of access to university resources.

In this session, participants will:

  • Learn about how Open Access (OA) and Alumni Resources can help them discover high quality scholarly information
  • Discover how Library Search can be used to locate OA materials.
  • Learn the extent of library services and resources for alumni, citizens, and health professionals
  • Discover and learn about key databases and collections in health sciences
