This hands-on session provides basic overview of GIS, and how it can be used to visualize research in a variety of fields. Participants will learn about best practices and guidelines for conducting their own research. Learners will get a hands on opportunity to explore the UML instance of ArcGIS Online and interact with a project.

  • Gain an overview of GIS as applied to  research
  • Discover resources to support research
  • Explore the ArcGIS Online interface
