Zotero is an open-source reference management tool that first emerged in 2004 as a browser plug-in in parallel to the introduction of Mazilla Firefox, an open-source Internet browser. Since then, Zotero evolved into a user-friendly companion for researchers, successfully accommodating in the increasingly open-access scholarly communication environments. This session will help Zotero beginners acquire a starting point to explore and incorporate the tool into their research workflow.

• Setting up a Zotero account and configuring the client. • Familizing with the Zotero client interface to manage your data • Starting capturing sources including with the browser's Zotero connector extension • Being able to produce in-text citations and a bibliography in a designated citation style.
