New PubMed: An Introduction

On May 18, 2020 the classic version of PubMed will transition permanently to the updated version of PubMed. The new PubMed is mobile optimized, and brings about a a number of new changes, including the interface, how PubMed interprets your search, and the number of results found. This session will introduce participants to these changes and give tips for how to best use the new system.

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

• Describe the major differences between Legacy PubMed and the new PubMed
• Use the new PubMed interface to effectively locate relevant resources
• Discuss how the changes in the PubMed 'Best Match' search algorithm impact results
