Research metrics, used as part of a narrative of scholarship, can provide strength so long as they are used with informed intent. Using Scopus and SciVal, learn what metrics and engagement measures are available, and most importantly, how to use them appropriately. Along with cases of appropriate use, examples of misuse and limitations of these measures will be discussed.
