This session: provides an introductory overview of GIS software; gives a variety of examples of methods of how GIS can be used for data analysis and visualization in health sciences-related disciplines; details how to prepare data or determine if the data would be suitable for analysis within GIS software; and, describes where to find secondary data to include in analyses.
