In this 30-hour course students will focus on the writing process and develop skills needed to write an organized and coherent essay for university. Pre-writing, drafting, editing and revision, paragraph and essay organization, and integration of quotations will be discussed and practiced. Sentence level grammar, based on student needs, will be an ongoing area of instruction throughout the course, along with some exposure to useful academic vocabulary and phrases. Regular written and oral feedback will be provided with attention given to individual needs.
